Santa Fe Opera
During the 2024 season, I worked in the Santa Fe Opera prop shop as a Props Crafts Journeyman. I was the assistant craft lead for their new production of La Traviata, taking over for the head craft lead for the week leading up to opening. This mostly involved addressing notes from technical rehearsals, making sure any large projects were finished, and coordinating with Props Run Crew on any consumables that needed to be replenished.
I was also craft lead for the remount of Elixir of Love. This mostly entailed refurbishing many of the older props- including the hundreds of individual sunflowers placed on set- and addressing any adds made by the director. Overall, this show had over 1,000 props that needed to be checked, repaired, or replaced.
